Token Usage Explained
Usage is metered in tokens: the units the assistant spends to read your spec, call the optics tools, and write a prescription. The monthly token and daily message numbers above are the plan limits enforced in billing. How many tokens a given job uses depends on spec length, tool calls, and whether you use the reasoning model.
